SEVIS Verification

All U.S. educational institutions are required to send international student information to United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) through a computer system called SEVIS. Our office, International Education Services (IES), sends information to SEVIS for each F-1 and J-1 student/scholar (and their dependents) sponsored by the University of Maryland.

Each semester IES needs to confirm your enrollment in SEVIS. In order to be sure that we are sending accurate information, we ask that you confirm your biographical and academic information:

  1. Each semester by the end of schedule adjustment. For the Spring 2008 semester, you must verify between January 1st and February 6, 2008.
  2. Each time your information changes - this is especially important when changing your address. Immigration regulations state that you must inform them of a change of address no later than 10 days after your move. The easiest way to inform them of this change is by using this website to verify your information.

Note for Continuing Students
You will be logging in using the TESTUDO login screen. You will also need your passport and I-20 or DS-2019 to verify data that will be displayed. When you have successfully logged into your personal information, please review and edit any incorrect data. If your data is correct you will still need to complete the process. Please click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. Please review the changed information for accuracy. If your changes are not correct please use the "Back" button. If your changes are correct, please click on the "Confirm and Logout" button.

Note for Scholars and Trainees
You will be logging in using the TESTUDO login screen. You will also need your passport and DS-2019 to verify data that will be displayed.
